No More Granny Quilts?

I might catch some flack for this but I was not supposed to take pictures of these most amazing quilts that I saw today at the Long Beach Quilt Convention.  I waited until the floor cops went around the corner and I snapped away.  If the artists find out, what are they going to do?  Are they going to get mad at me for promoting such wonderful talent?  I don’t think so.

I think we are influenced by greater talents but there is no way to duplicate the hand. For an artist to be concerned with being ripped off is ridiculous.  Well, maybe not.  I’m sure there are plenty of jerks out there that do rip off and laugh all the way to the bank.  Eventually, they will get found out.

I went to this show with the intention of finding designers that would have interest in buying my hand painted textiles to create their works of beauty.  It turned out to be a very good day for me as I met a couple of contacts who immediately saw the value of my art I was wearing.  My intention is to work in collaboration and honor the talents of others. So, I’d love to share this beautiful collection that I chose as being the best of the show.  I hope you enjoy it.
